I started writing this post on 28 March 2009.  I only got two sentences done when the procrastination kicked in.  Finally now I got around to trying to complete it.  Today is 7 Novemeber 2009.  Funny how time just zooms by when you’re having so much fun doing nothing.

Alright.  Today is 27 Janurary 2010, Happy New Year by the way.  It only took me three tries to finish this post.  Now that’s true effort.

Okay okay, I’m sorry today is 3 March 2011.  This post has been in the making for almost two years.  I think it’s time to post it.

Barack Obama

President-elect Barack Obama became the 44th president of the United States of America. But it’s all over the news right now, so unless you are in a coma or do not have access to any form of media, there is no way on earth you do not know that inspiration has been injected into the bloodstream of humans everywhere.

It is an amazing feat for anyone to become the leader of the most powerful country in the world. Even if John McCain had won (thank goodness he didn’t) I would congratulate him for such an achievement, rising into the oval office.

I want to wish President Barack Obama and his family and the rest of the world, good luck. We are going to need it. We have many hard roads and problems ahead but now there is a leader whom people can look up to and believe in change.

Please don’t get me wrong, I love sports. But I have a problem with people who are taking political action in the time of competition and celebration. It is not only unsportsmanlike but a disgrace to everyone who are participating or have some sort of connection to the Olympics.

Politics are important but using a time of unity and peace to bring about a warly agenda is inexcusable. The Olympics are about SPORTS not POLITICS.

Let the medal count be the only ranking system for countries for the remainder of the games, for the good of humankind. Let the world enjoy the games in peace. Please.

The numbers of readers and viewers continue to grow each and every day. Between the years of 2003 and 2007, the filming of The Onion Movie began. It was released directly to DVD on June 3, 2008. The movie is portrayed as a newscast and follows an anchorman as he struggles to maintain his journalistic integrity while facing a corporate takeover.

During the movie, a plethora of characters and stories are introduced which provide The Onion’s satire and edge but with an interesting twist. It is definitely an unconventional film and absolutely worth watching (intended for viewers over the ages of 18).  It is indeed an excellent film for providing a lighthearted version of the aspects and issues of life.

Although the movie is not directly linked with The Onion itself it is still worth checking out The Onion Movie and The Onion if you enjoy poking fun of today’s pressing issues.

As The Onion’s slogan says it is “America’s Finest News Source”. But some would say that it is “The WORLD’S Best News Source”.

Sure, there are people who don’t give two damns about what others think, but give me a break, everyone cares to a certain degree about what others think about them. Even if you don’t care at least try to be respectful of your colleagues so that they will not form unofficial clubs of hatred towards you.

Gaining and losing respect are related but completely different. To earn trust and respect involves doing the same for others first. To lose it, is to be in a manner where one acts as if they are better than everyone else and obviously uses others for their personal gain. (The correct way is to subliminally use others.) And of course not admitting that you are wrong. Oh and thinking that you know it all, when you don’t because you are new to the company or group.

Enough ranting. This is a post about respect. In conclusion, I realize that the world of work is not a friendly environment (duh) but there are many, many stupid people out there and who do not know what and how how office politics works.

Give a little repect, get a little respect.

The images that are shown are incredibly hilarious and some are literally laugh out loud funny-worthy. It just proves that what you see isn’t always real or true. Human interference and error makes for reluctant comedy.

And as always, when someone makes a mistake there is always someone else there to make fun of them.

Another thing that bothers me are people who put their feet up on the chairs as if they are at home. Please people, you are in a PUBLIC AREA, have some common courtesy.

It’s funny how on the ticket it says it starts at a certain time, but in reality, it starts 20 minutes later because of all the advertisements and movie trailers.

But there are good aspects to going to the movie theatre. It gives you a quality of entertainment along with getting your mind off of your daily life routine.

Also, the surround sound is unlike an average home theatre system.

All-in-all, movies are a great source of entertainment but we must keep in mind that it is a place where we pay to enjoy the time, and not to treat it like a pigsty.
